On the seventeenth day, in the ninth month in the Year of our lord two thousand and sixteen (17th September 2016). Men and women from as far a field as Scholes, Crossgates, Aberford, Thorner, Garforth and even Castleford will make the treacherous journey across yorkshire hill and dale to join the fine people of Barwick-in-Elmet to celebrate the grand old Yorkshire Tradition of standing around supping fine Yorkshire ale and having a good old fashioned natter about ale, the weather and what other subjects tha likes. This year will be 8th annual beer festivals in Barwick and we promise it will be the biggest and hopefully the best yet. We have an unprecedented 20 Cask conditioned ales, 8 different wines and a large selection (288 Bottles) of traditional Ciders, bottled continental lagers and craft beers. We will also be serving up fine Yorkshire fayre in the form of "pie and peas" to help soak up that beer and hopefully keep you drinking into the early evening or until there's nowt left. Should the conversation run dry before the bar does we will also be providing some entertainment in the form of live music and a few traditional bar room games. Entry will be a reet good, and inflation busting five (£5.00)Yorkshire pounds. For which you shall receive a commemorative glass, souvenir programme and a pint of beer, or 2 halves should you prefer. All proceeds from the festival will go to supporting the Barwick in Elmet maypole trust. We look forward seeing you all on the 17th of September. Dark ale made with 5 dark malts and hopped with legendary US hops for a smooth, rounded finish.

This pale blonde ale is refreshing, with a nice crisp clean bitterness and a fruity finish. There are just the right amount of floral notes to have you reaching for your glass all to often.

Golden Ale, 4.0%, spicy,well balanced bitter with peach and pear finish. Hops used Bramling Cross, Pacific Gem and First Gold.
A red beer to halt you in your tracks, giving you a warm red glow! A mellow malty flavour, from Wold grown barley, dark crystal malt and roasted barley. Hopped with Progress hops. The best beer to use for ‘beef in beer’.
A very bright amber coloured ale with a soft spiced lemon and honeyed flavour.

A premium dark mild brewed with a complex mix of malts and oats giving a wonderful depth of flavour, well balanced with undertones of coffee and chocolate and a full finish.
A very pale hoppy session beer, drinks full for its strength. Refreshing finish with citrus notes in the aftertaste. Brewed with lager malt and American Cascade hops.

Brewed to promote awareness of Prostate Cancer – Gold in colour due to the addition of some Pale Chocolate malt balancing fruit and spice notes from Progress and Willamette hops. Then dry hopped in the cask with cascade hops to give extra depth of flavour.
Dark amber, honey, malt.
The aroma is sweet fruits with some bitter hops. The taste has more sweet fruit with citrus from the hops. It´s dry with some bitterness in the finish.

The beer is sweet all the way through, balancedby some bitterness at the finish. Flavours arefruity with toffee apples and bananas. A clean tasting beer, sweetish but not cloying.
Pale Crystal Malts give this pale bitter a sweet malty flavour. The English Bramling Cross Hops give an excellent bitterness and berry/fruit aroma
